This summer I worked on the Autumn edition of the "SuperLawyers" magazine for the Twin Cities area, produced by Thomson Reuters. Over the space of a few days, I visited five attorneys at their offices or home and needed to shoot two differing environmental portraits. The trick is how to get an interesting shot where the space you have to use is not very compelling. Sometimes I was successful, sometimes not as much. All of the attorneys were really warm and generous with their time, and all had fascinating personal backgrounds to share. And Mary Shearen's firm, Best and Flanagan, had a really nice collection of art as well!
